Who We Are
Jeff Schlarb has been a leader in the interior design scene for over 20 years. With his eponymous studio in San Francisco, representation in Los Angeles and New York, he specializes in luxury residential and commercial projects throughout the US & worldwide.
His studio projects are as varied as his clients’ personalities. He takes on projects that are light, bright, and tonal as well as the colorful and exuberant. He combines all of these elements to create a layered look that is at once complex and balanced, classic and contemporary. Every room becomes an exploration. Our work has been featured in Interiors (cover story), 1st Dibs, CA Home & Design, Wall Street Journal, SF Magazine, Interiors Northern CA, AD Mexico, Elle Decor Spain and many more.
Jeff embodies the art-meets-design aesthetic, and his work consistently results in expressive and inspired interiors. We call it “curiosity without the chaos.” Our studio, which includes a talented team of 16, creates spaces that are bold and memorable and reflect the interests and lifestyles of our clients. Our goal is to design spaces that inspire the soul but also set the scene for living well.
On a personal note, Jeff is a doting father of two young girls, a music maker, a lover of fine craftsmanship, a philanthropist and a fierce advocate for the arts. He is on the board of Lines Ballet, and a member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art (ICAA) as well as the Design Leadership Network (DLN).
The Studio
With over 20 years experience, Jeff and the JSDS design team have a solid reputation for imaginative, contemporary concepts and strong client relationships. The company continues to expand while working out of their San Francisco studio at 3525 Sacramento St. We have new satellite offices in New York and Los Angeles, and we are excited to announce the opening of a second studio space and showroom right across the street at 3524 Sacramento Street!
